Chicken liver may be introduced as soon as a baby starts solids, which is generally around 6 months of age. The mighty liver is many a time overlooked, even though chicken liver is one of the most nutritious foods we can consume. Chicken liver, beef liver, fish liver, and the livers of all sentient beings are the nutrient powerhouse of the body

KEEP IN MIND that chicken liver contains a lot of vitamin A, an essential nutrient that can be toxic when consumed in excess. For this reason, we need to limit the serving size and frequency of liver that we give to babies. 1 to 2 tablespoons of chicken liver once a week is enough. So that means: babies can have 4 x 65ml tubs of our liver meals spread out over the course of a week.
Ingredients: Free range chicken liver, Organic sweet potato, Apple

Packed in BPA-free tubs

Wow, wow, wow, what a way to start your day! Yesterday, I received my first order from Orchard Food in Pretoria, and I couldn’t wait to prepare my first meal with the organic food and pasture raised meat I bought from them. I was not prepared for the symphony of flavours that hit my tongue! The tomatoes, cucumber and zucchini created an explosion of flavours that I have not experienced in a long time! I was transported into the fields where the foods were grown. I now understand the concept of mindful eating – not because I wanted to, but because it was my body’s natural response to the amazing, clean food filled with the most beautiful energy and nutrients straight from Mamma Gaia. To Orchard Food, a big thank you from me to you for providing us with the option to experience goodness from the earth, without the toxic extras.

If you're tired of supermarket vegetables, Orchard Food is worth a visit. This gem of a store in a quirky little centre in Colbyn proves you get what you pay for. The organic produce is super fresh - every tomato, leafy green, and root vegetable looks like it was plucked from the earth moments ago. The owner is helpful and efficient. The store's commitment to sustainability shines through in their minimal packaging approach, with most produce displayed loose in wooden crates or paper bags. Also a good selection of organic meat and dairy products. The quality justifies the prices. Think of it as an investment in your health and the planet. Remember to bring your own produce bags.

Excellent quality pasture raised chicken bought from Orchard foods - I am very particular and do extensive research before I buy chicken for my family - no hormones, free range, checkers must be fed a diet free from grains and gmo foods. Orchard ticks all the boxes. Their veggies are great too - to can taste the goodness
